You are free to choose between our four libraries: Biblioteket Danasvej, Biblioteket Godthåbsvej, Biblioteket Domus Vista and Frederiksberg Hovedbibliotek, the Central Library.
Using the libraries is free of charge.
How to register
Once registered as a member, you may borrow our selection of books, films, music, magazines and games for both children and adults. To register you must bring your social security card - the yellow card - plus an ID-card with a photograph.

Reserve books, music and films directly from home
You may search and reserve books, music, films etc. in our databases directly from home or here at the library. You can also check your status and extend your lending period, by logging in with your CPR number and your pin.
Book a computer
Using our computers is free of charge. You can book a pc in each of our four libraries for maximum 2 hours a day. If you need to print, you have to deposit money on a printing account - this is done at Ekspeditionen, the Information Desk.
Data bases
The library has access licenses to a variety of current data bases, some of which you may access directly from your home computer as well. Our librarians are your professional guides to knowledge and do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
Newspapers and magazines
Through Library PressDisplay you can read today's newspapers from more than 90 countries, including Danish newspapers.
If you live in Frederiksberg and are registered as a member, you may access Library PressDisplay directly from home.
In the Newspaper Reading Room at the Central Library you will find current issues of international newspapers such as the Guardian, Financial Times, Süddeutsche Zeitung, die Zeit, le Monde, Liberation, Al-Hayat, Kayan, the Daily Jang and more.
Furthermore you will find current issues of more than 1000 periodicals and magazines.
Music
The Music Library has one of Denmark's largest collections of CDs, music videos, books and music notes.
If you live in Frederiksberg, you may download or stream on Bibzoom. You download the music for seven days quite legally and free of charge.

Film
You may choose between more than 4000 filmtitles and TV shows at our libraries.
On Filmstriben.dk you can stream films to your home computer, if you live in Frederiksberg and are registered as a member.
Learning Danish or other languages?
If you are learning Danish, Chinese or a third language, we have different language courses for you to borrow or access on the Internet.
You may also borrow books with CDs.

Hard to read?
Easy-to-read books, audio books and books with large writing are available to everyone. If you live in Frederiksberg, you may also download books and audio books in Danish on your pc.

Children
For children of all ages we have books, jigsaw puzzles, play and learn language material, stories on CDs, music and films. Children and adolescents may also borrow games for PC, Playstation, Wii, Nintendo and Xbox.

Peace and Quiet - and Inspiration
If you need a quiet place for reading, working, finding inspiration or maybe meeting other people, the library is the place to visit. At the Central Library you find our reading room and in the centre of the novel department you may find the "Literary Square" with soft chairs. As a member, you may also bring your own computer and log on the wireless network.

Delivery of books
Our libraries offer delivery of books etc. to elderly and handicapped persons in Frederiksberg who are unable to visit the library.

Fax and photocopy
Copying machines where you insert coins are located in all the libraries; at the Central Library you may also take color copies.
At the Library on Danasvej, you will also find a fax machine.
Meeting Rooms
Associations may rent the "Library Room" at the Central Library and the rooms at the Citizen's Centre in Danasvej.

Self Service - 24/7
Borrowing and returning materials is done at self service machines.
As a special service, you find an outdoor delivery machine at the Central Library at the entrance facing Solbjerg Plads.
It is open 24/7. Please remember to bring your yellow card or member card to access the outdoor delivery machine.
